Walked in to get a quick haircut. There wasn’t a person at all to be seen except one woman sitting at the sink with dye in her hair. I stood there for 10 minutes and not a single employee was to be seen but I could clearly see their vapes. When one employee finally came out from a closet or door to what I assume is a basement, they saw me and closed the door again. Do not go to moxie - they are not worth a penny. Do not go here. I went in for a wash and blowout which was fine but ended up getting talked into getting k-tip hair extensions. At first, the extension “expert”, Yex said I would need two bundles of hair. He showed me one that was exactly the color I wanted. He quoted me at about $650 for two. After I agreed to get the extensions he brought out the second bundle which was different from the first one but he said he would make it blend and it would look great. I have to be honest…it took me a few times to really enjoy my experience at Moxie. They seemed to have struggled in the past with consistency, because they switched stylists very often, so you would schedule with one person and get another. I decided to hold off on a review because I do realize sometimes it takes time for a business to master the “perfect equation”. Love the salon experience. Not so crowded since they do well with their appointment flow. Didn't have to wait when I walked in. My stylist, Alexandria, is amazingly attentive to detail and my creative hair styling preferences. She listened to my ideas, we looked over pics and set up a plan to make the dream come true. I love how my color came out. My haircut was done to perfection, love the layers that Alexandria did without sacrificing length. My blowout is what really blew my mind. My hair is very curly. I’m so happy with my hair color! My stylist Marielena did an incredible job and really took the time to understand the look I was going for. The color turned out gorgeous and my hair feels soft and healthy. I couldn’t be happier with the results!
